Malaysian Cats

Well, I just recently went tom Johor Bahru for a short day trip. It was a lot of fun and the best part of my trip was to spot the many cats that roam the streets there. Well, my boyfriend and I were at this roadside hawker centre where there were many many cats around. I had fun cause the stall owners there were so nice and caring to the cats. I guess the cats actually help them by keeping rats away right? People in Singapore should think that way sometimes. The only thing I was not happy about when I was there were that with the many adult cats around, there were also many kittens around too. They were playing with the people's feet and chasing each other.. It was all too cute. But, I was thinking of their future. I wished they weren't there somehow. The hardship they would have to go through next time...

Anyway, the stall owners do not understand the importance of sterilising. Well, I can't blame them. Some educated people can't even get it. Sterilising keeps the population down, and makes sure there aren't too many cats in an area. Unsterilised male cats have raging hormones and this causes them to find mates and new territories. This causes the literal cat-fights and "howlings and hissings" when they fight. As compared to sterilised male cats,  those who are sterilised will not run from their territory to find mates, keeping other cats away from the area and minimizing the chances of more kittens.  In addition, female cats should also be sterilised to ensure that they will not be able to give birth to more kittens.

So, people, I will post soon!
Take care and remember to spare a thought about the stray cats and dogs you seen on the streets!
